TO CREATE A REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION


A.  Click Start->Programs (All Programs for Vista or 7)->Accessories

(If you are using a Windows 8, you'll need to find the search bar all the way to the bottom right and click search, then type in Remote Desktop Connection and double click it once it pops up, then follows steps from C. on)
B.  Click Remote Desktop Connection (On some versions of XP, this may be located in Start->  

            Programs->Accessories->Communications)
C.  In the Computer Name field, enter "(
client code.quickemr.com)
D.  Click the Options button
E.  In the username field, enter your client code ("QEMR\client code")  *make sure to use a \ instead of a / in this step
F.  Click the Local Resources tab.

                -Uncheck printers.

        Click the More button.

                -Uncheck Smart Cards.

      -For Drives, make sure that the "C:" drive is checked.

        Select OK.
G.  Click the Experience tab.

                 -Uncheck Bitmap Caching and Themes.
H.  Click the Advanced tab.

                 -For Server Authentication, select Connect and Don't Warn me.
I.    Click the General Tab-> Click the Save As button
->Select your desktop. For the Filename, replace "Default" with "QuickEMR".

J.     Close the window.

Double click on the QuickEMR icon and you will now be able to log into the server.


You will receive your client code from QuickEMR if you are just starting up with QuickEMR or from your office administrator if you have an established office.
